Toward Zero Tolerance: Local Community Fronts against Gender Based Violence

As part of the project “Toward Zero Tolerance: Local Community Fronts against Gender Based Violence” (supported by the Royal Norwegian Embassy), three performances of the drama play “Trpele / Abused” (Belgrade Drama Theater) will take place in the Public Theaters in Leskovac (Nov. 27) and Niš (Nov. 28 and 29). This drama play portrays real-life experiences of women who suffered violence and ended it by killing their perpetrators. First objective is raising awareness of the citizens, public officers, and other community representatives through this powerful drama play and the round table conversation after it ends. Second objective is funds raised by the ticket sale to be donated to the regional safe house in Niš. Similar performances of the same drama play are planned in Novi Sad and Zrenjanin in February 2015.
