Empowering Young Roma Families to Reduce Asylum Seeking

Implementation of project “Empowering Young Roma Families to Reduce Asylum Seeking” began on June 1st. It is implemented by ADRA Deutschland and ADRA Serbia, and supported by Auswärtiges Amt . The objective of the project is to empower 40 young vulnerable Roma families from the Belgrade region through educational/professional and income generation support. This will increase their social inclusion and improve their prospects for economical self-sustainability and better wellbeing. As a consequence, reasons for migrating to Germany for economical reasons will be reduced, which will also reduce numerous negative consequence economically motivated asylum seeking always brings. The project will last 5 months.
